To get back into my body, I had to feed my hungry mind first. And Human Design was that thing for me. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and had me looking deeper at myself.Human Design is a beautiful system that has lots of info and I loved reading and learning about it. It wasn't until I started to use it in my life, experimenting with what my chart showed me that I started to trust and open myself to the possibilities of life. And to be able to dive into some of my shadow expressions.It wasn't a magic pill, and it took time and dedicated effort to myself to find the trust and of course I still waver like any human sharing this experience in a body, but it has been so undeniably helpful and has led me to so many new experiences because I was trusting. I am two weeks out of a training that is changing

I am two weeks out of a training that is changing my life! I spent three days learning myofascial release - watching, giving and receiving from our teacher Lindsay (@lindsaycourcelle ) and 12 other beautiful and amazing women. I am still processing the work I received there and am so eager to practice and get better at this new skill.If you think you've seen this post before, you might have! I created a new IG account, but I realized that all of me is welcome here on this one and two accounts is just too much!This training was called Fascia Alchemy and for good reason.Transformation and transmutation of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual tension and pain was occurring through our hands and intentions.The energy was big and flowing.We were all "in it" in whatever place we were coming from and when we left we were different.Lighter in body and soul.With a balanced physical step.But tender, open and fresh.Having tended to parts of us that we hadn't looked at in a long time. If ever.Those are all the words I have right now. I will be practicing on my closest loved ones for the time being, and I am so excited to bring this work and experience to my tiny corner of the world when I am ready. Opening up the wide world of sourdough!Sourdough bread baking can be a mystery.It can be frustrating and hard, but it can also be miraculous and delicious!I love to take the frustrating and hard part out of the equation for people and boost the fun, exciting and delicious 😋In my one day workshops I teach folks how to bake sourdough bread with hands on practice! I walk you through all the steps and send you home with a booklet that helps you remember them afterwards.You also get a healthy, active sourdough starter AND you get an amazing homemade lunch to fuel you part way through.I don't like to scare people into signing up, but I only have two more workshops coming up this spring. Why learn WHOLEGRAIN sourdough bread baking?Learning to bake your own bread allows you to control what you put into your bread- essentially all you need are three ingredients: flour, water, salt. Sourdough starter is the fourth but it is made of two of those ingredients but included many yeasts and bacteria that are naturally occurring.Wholegrain flour takes it a step further because you are using the literally the whole seed/kernel, as pictured here. Did you know that a kernel of wheat or other type of grain contains a fair number of nutrients that we miss when we use only white flour? Vitamin Bs are some that come to mind because here in Canada they are supplemented back into white flour in a form that is not natural to us.In white flour only, the starchy endosperm remains and the bran and germ (where most of the nutrients reside) are removed. When we bake with wholegrain flours, especially stone milled ones- ALL of the seed remains and we get the full benefit.Sourdough helps even further, because it breaks down parts of the seed that are less digestible for us- like physic acids (think plant chemicals that protect the seed from germinating until the perfect time).This topic is way too long for a post 😅! Creating a workshop that touches on wholegrain flour really makes me excited! It's been a year now since I started teaching this workshop and I wish I had started earlier.The loaf pan (pictured here is the Pullman pan, high sides, narrow width) allows for more creative license and experimentation when swapping flours in and out and gives you the choice of using all wholegrain really easily or doing blends with white flour.The reason for that is the loaf pan sides hold the bread up- so even if you don't get that gluten development quite to the point you want it to or you use types of flour that have less protein (gluten is a protein) like einkorn or spelt, you can still get a decent loaf out of it!This bread is also great for folks who don't want a super crusty crust! FLOUR!Not many flours are created equal. I am 100% a flour snob. I used to mill some of my own flour for my bread business. I imported a stone mill from Austria to do it (story for another day!) But I hated the dust, sound and extra time it took to mill so I sold it and continued to buy stoneground flour from my farmer/miller Chris from @ironwoodorganics as well as a well known mill in Quebec called La Meunerie Milanaise.Unfortunately, these flours are not easily sourced by regular consumers. I am always on the lookout to find places to buy good flour -whether it's organic all purpose or bread flour or various stoneground flours that are wholegrain or sifted.Do you know the difference between roller milled and stoneground flour?
