Spending some much needed time in nature this week Spending some much needed time in nature this week as the weather warms up! Calabogie is filled with little inukshuks after a year filled with endless hikers escaping the city ๐Ÿ—ฟโ›ฐ๏ธ I used to frantically prep for workshops worrying about every last detail. I will spend the next couple days getting ready and readying myself, but teaching sourdough baking skills seem to be deep in my bones. This was my first time putting charcoal into a dough and the first time purposely combining two doughs together. While it certainly wasn't perfect, it was fun! Sourdough Simplified is my favourite workshop to t Sourdough Simplified is my favourite workshop to teach as it is cozy and intimate (with physical distancing in place of course ๐Ÿ˜œ) and we dive DEEPER into the theory of how sourdough works. I like to emphasize the intuitive side of sourdough backed up with the science to really give a fully rounded look at sourdough bread baking. The time we have together allows for questions and conversation that leads to you understanding better what you are doing and why. The result is baking better bread. This is a great stepping off point for you to bake the bread of your dreams at home! There is still space in the November 15th workshop @madawaskakanu centre. I don't know when I'll be teaching this one again... definitely not until 2021 sometime so jump on in and join us! Link in bio to sign up!
